How to Help
FISH is always looking
for new volunteers. Curious about how to help?
-
Deliver bags of groceries.
Every day we receive requests for emergency food that we are unable
to fulfill because we have too few drivers.
-
Volunteer to make
morning phone calls from your home, following up with the people
who have phoned our hotline. Click the Volunteer button at the
bottom of this page to sign up.
Note: If you know someone who has an
emergency need for food, they may call our hotline (203) 467-7280.
-
Organize a food drive
at your school, office or church.
-
Send a financial contribution.
We are able to stretch your dollars by acquiring food for a minimal
handling fee from the Connecticut Food Bank.
-
Donate any of the
following types of food items...
(Each item should weigh no more than 1
lb. with the exception of Peanut Butter and Spaghetti Sauce Jars.)
